Mermaiding (Confined Water)

Your Mermaiding journey begins here! This comprehensive program is designed to immerse you fully into the magical realm of mermaiding. You'll learn about mermaiding culture, technique, and crucial safety and risk management skills. This introductory course covers all of the foundational skills required for a mermaiding certification. After course completion, you may attend an evaluation session to earn official recognition of your ability to safely conduct mermaiding activities in confined water up to 20 ft deep while directly supervised by a qualified buddy. **Enrollment Requirements** To enroll, you should be above the age of 8 and have basic swim ability. You will also have to complete waivers and a DAN Diver Medical Questionnaire. Depending on their answers, some may be required to obtain a doctor's clearance before participating in in-water activities. **Equipment Requirements** A mask or goggles, a monofin with tail skin. No silicone tails during training activities. You may supply your own or use ours for a small fee. We reserve the right to deny certain equipment if we deem it inappropriate for safe training.
